The weird potion-making thing is a take-off on the general concept of the film which is a semi-spoof of a Midsummer's Night Dream.
It's actually quite a lot of fun (it was the closing film of the DC GLBT Film Fest last weekend) in a "first-half of Moulin Rouge sort of crack-addled way"
Brak, it'll be playing the Landmark Cinema in Philly in December, you should definitely check it out... and perhaps today I'll finish making my icons from it that I started the other day ;-)
It's starting that day and usually runs for a week at least. You should have time to catch it, unless your Landmark is run differently than the Landmark in DC
