So there I was standing in line at the Nederlander. Right there in the doorway (because I got there early). I was watching the screaming queen in front of me go on and on about Jai Rodriguez(Angel) which was quite entertaining when my peripheral vision registers a man in a blue shirt next to me. I think nothing of it until I hear a very familiar voice tell someone outside the theater "I can't, I have to go get ready"(I'm assuming he was talking to an autograph seeker). So I turn my head, and there is Joey Fatone. In the doorway. With me. I could've reached out and touched him. And then had my arm promptly broken by his bodyguard, so I didn't. Also he was facing away from me and that would've been rude.

All this by way of saying I think I need to rethink my position on Lance having the best ass in *NSYNC. I got a very good view both close up and long-distance as he walked into the theater and let me tell you, it's a sight to behold.

I got to see him again as he exited the theater. They have little barricades set up that lead to his car so everyone sort of congregates around it. He was very nice. Stopping for pictures and autographs, and the occassional hug. I wasn't able to get close enough to get an autograph largely because the people in front were kind of inconsiderate and instead of letting people through once they had their turn, they just kept standing there.

But he looks really good. He's lost weight. I guess that's kind of unavoidable doing 8 shows a week under hot lights in a winter coat.

Let's see what else?

He owns Tango Maureen and he knows it too. He's added lots of lovely hip gyrations since the last time I saw it. I forget what exactly he did at one point, but it must have been an improv because I could see the woman playing Joanne trying desperately not to laugh, and he acutally did get Maggie Benjamin(Maureen) to laugh through some of her lines in La Vie Boheme.

Benny was throwing some serious wood during You'll See. And let me tell you that Stu James is quite impressive.

Over the Moon is way funnier live, and Maggie Benjamin is the best Maureen |EVER|.

They sell a Joey poster now. I didn't see it until I'd already bought a T-shirt(One X, Yay!) and a little stuffed cow with a RENT t-shirt that says "Moo with me". Oh well. Next time.

No Manley Pope :( Kind of disappointed in that. Sebastian Arcelus just doesn't fill out those PJ bottoms the way Manley does. He's not as a good a singer either. Not that he sucked or anything, he's just not as good.

My seats were three rows back. Center stage. It was amazing. Just absolutlely incredible. There really are no bad seats in that theater but this one was paricularly good.

You breathed Joey!air!!!! I'm going back for my second show on the 27th, only about 2 weeks away, and for some reason I'm not as insanely excited as I was for the first one, probably because work is going to suck dead moose cock for the next two weeks. But on the other side of all of the sucking! Joweeee!

I'm glad you had a good time. I was going to textporn you so you'd have something to read outside the theatre (and, you know, show Joey in case you ran into him), but didn't know if you keep your phone on.
